Why Battersea Chooses Me For Physiotherapy

  • Back pain is the most common form of pain on the planet- you’re not alone! The majority of it will settle with time and patience but I work with everyone from athletes to desk workers and post partum parents to long haul flyers.

If your pain has been persisting for a week or more, come to my clinic and I’ll assess and treat it so you have a clear plan to not only full recovery but coming back stronger than ever

  • Knee pain is among the most common issues for runners and if you live in Clapham Junction and Battersea, there’s a good chance you’re a runner!

Runners can statistically expect 8-18 injuries per 1000 hours of running so a thorough physiotherapy assessment in my clinic will give you both peace of mind as well as an understanding of the problem, be it tendinitis, ITB syndrome or anything else, we will create a plan to fix it

  • Like back pain, neck pain is exceptionally common. In South West London there are 10s of 1000s of desk workers who are sitting in chairs, for up to 8 hours a day.

The reasons for any injury are many and it’s best to not be reductive, but certainly hunching over a phone or laptop for hours leads to sedentary behaviour which is a known factor for developing neck pain.

Come to my Clapham Junction clinic for an assessment and we’ll make a long term plan to fix your problem

  • As someone who goes to the gym regularly, I know first hand how important weight training can be for regulating mood and creating calm in a busy world, and just how frustrating it can be for something so simple as shoulder pain to hold you back

Whether you do crossfit, more conventional strength training or pilates your shoulder is key to getting stronger and if it’s not getting better,y ou need a plan to fix it.

I’ve treated and resolved hundreds of shoulders over the years so come to clinic and sort that niggling problem properly

What makes me different?

I am the owner and operator of Joey Hext Physiotherapy, so every review you see for this clinic is about me personally. I see patients from all over South West London with no unnecessary delays or red tape so you’re not left waiting. I have a very no nonsense approach and will not suggest more sessions than I think you need to optimise your progress and I combine my education with my 5 years of clinical experience and a constantly updating knowledge of the relevant research to create treatment plans that are completely aligned with your own personal goals and working around your constraints.

Starting your journey to resolving your symptoms takes just three steps

Step 1: Make an appointment

If you live or work in or around South West London, simply book your Initial Assessment appointment in my clinic located near Clapham Junction Station, often available within days of making a booking

Step 2: Tell me about your symptoms

When you book your slot you’ll be asked a few questions about what you’re trying to fix. Giving me a broad overview will allow me to plan our session more in advance

Step 3: Come to clinic

I’ll ask questions to throughly understand the background and context of your symptoms and then perform physical tests to confirm or refute my hypothesis. I will then explain the plan to you which typically involves a combination of exercise, temporary lifestyle modifications and manual therapies, along with follow up sessions to check on progress and update the plan as needed

“Joey was amazing during my recovery from a glute tear. He helped me stay positive when I was feeling frustrated or discouraged and always validated what I was going through. His support made a huge difference in my recovery, both physically and mentally.”
