I have been working in the health and fitness industry for the last 13 years and have been trained in various disciplines.
My primary role is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist which I have been doing for the last 6 years and have built a deep base of skill at rehabilitating injured people.
However my background is in personal training which also included sports massage so depending on your need, I have many ways to help you.
What I Offer

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is the practice of restoring injured or inflammed muscles, bones, ligaments etc to their full functional status.
Whether your injury is due to an acute trauma or chronic overload, I will thoroughly assess the problem and give you an understanding of what it is and together we will create a plan to get you back to 100% or better, that is always my goal with any patient.

Over the last few decades, advancements in neuroscience have revealed that pain is always in the brain, neurological.
Most of us are familiar with mechanical pain- your body gets damaged and signals are relayed to your brain which interprets these signals and you feel pain.
But another less well known form of pain is called neuroplastic pain whereby pain is the result of the brain misinterpreting safe of benign signals from the body and interpreting them as dangerous, causing pain.
I am trained in PRT to diagnose this and work with you to coach your brain that those signals are actually safe and thus to resolve the pain with time.

Sometimes a person just needs a rub.
From a purely mechanistic standpoint, massage has not been shown to have great long term benefits in terms of injury rehabilitation but it is shown to be a great way to reduce pain in the short run.
If you feel you have an injury that can be treated, then i urge you to contact me for Physiotherapy or PRT (above) but if you just want something short term and soothing, I am more than happy to deliver!

Exercise truly is a great healer.
As a physiotherapist, very often my work boils down to helping people move more and with more confidence and I frequently leverage my experience as a former personal trainer to help patients and clients meet their fitness goals.
