Overhead athletes and shoulder pain
Shoulder pain can quietly take the joy out of netball — especially when you’re part of a team and feel like you’re letting others down. Struggling to pass, shoot, or contest the ball because of pain is deeply frustrating, and for many women it starts to chip away at a hobby they genuinely love.
At my clinic in Clapham Junction and Battersea, I work with netball players dealing with shoulder pain that’s stopping them from playing freely. Common issues can include rotator cuff irritation, shoulder instability, tendinopathy, or overload from busy training and match schedules — but pain doesn’t mean you’re “broken” or done with the sport.
Your assessment looks at how you move, throw, jump, and train, so treatment fits netball and fits you — not generic shoulder rehab. The aim is simple: to help you return to court confident, pain free, and able to enjoy playing with your teammates again.
