Live in Clapham Junction and got a skiing injury?
Lots of people fly off to go skiing through December and most of them come back with nothing but good memories and faint smell of cheese. Sometimes though trips can turn nasty. Skiing injuries are common from ACL ruptures to Meniscus tears or even just tendon inflammation. At my Physio clinic in Clapham Junction, I’m here to help you make sure these injuries don’t hold you back from your 2026 plans.
Injuries are complex and with skiing, high shear forces, ice, uneven terrain and fatigue can all contribute to injury, be that from an acute trauma due to falling or crashing into someone or something, or due to more chronic overuse. Physiotherapy with me will help to put the pieces together about what happened and come to a diagnosis as well as create a treatment plan typically including:
· Restoration of full mobility
· Building strength in key muscle groups- Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Glutes
· Dynamic power and balance- Plyometrics, running, sprinting and dodging
· Late stage rehab- Tying together the above to make you ready for your normal life be that dog walking, desk work or crossfit and bodybuilding
If you’re unsure how to proceed with your injury then come and find me in my Battersea clinic, easily accessible to patients across Clapham, Brixton, Balham and beyond to book a skiing rehabilitation assessment today and we’ll make a plan together to get you back on track.
